Online Tabulation Tool

Quick, browser-based analysis

Upload your Barrier Analysis survey data (with coded responses for multi-response questions) and get responses ranked by Estimated Relative Risk — right in your browser, with no spreadsheet macros required. Define Doers and Non-Doers, set your p-value and estimated prevalence, and download the results.

Planning & Preparation Phase

1

Define the behavior and context precisely

Specify exactly what behavior you want to study, including who should do it, when, where, how often, and with what materials. Use the behavior statement template to ensure clarity.

2

Develop your sampling strategy

Plan how to identify and recruit approximately 45 Doers and 45 Non-Doers for your study. Consider logistics, geographic distribution, and screening criteria for proper classification.

3

Prepare or adapt your questionnaire

Select and adapt the appropriate questionnaire template or develop a new one using the Questionnaire Designer. Ensure that all 12 determinants are addressed with appropriate probing questions.

4

Train your data collection team

Conduct comprehensive training for interviewers using the Interviewer Training Guide. Cover questionnaire administration, proper probing techniques, respondent classification, and ethical considerations.

5

Field test your questionnaire

Conduct a pre-test with 5-10 respondents to identify any issues with the questionnaire, classification process, or interviewing techniques. Revise tools as needed before full implementation.
